Inigo San-Pena

University Collaborator, Robotics

Dr. Inigo Sanz-Pena, an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at CCNY, is a close collaborator working on the Tendril Arm robotic device with DC:II. He and Dr. Shih are co-inventors of the technology and continue to collaborate with Dr. Shih and DC:II on research projects to further develop this technology. His research focuses on biomimetic wearable assistive robots and devices with embedded sensing capabilities to enhance biofeedback monitoring and improve quality of life. His expertise in design and material-embedded stimuli sensing will be instrumental to this project. Before joining CCNY, he served as a postdoc at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Imperial College London and worked as a research associate at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.
